Telangana: Govt. official thrashed with chappal in Jangaon over sexual misconduct

A minority welfare officer has been thrashed with a chappal by a woman employee on account of sexual misconduct in Jangaon.

Though the incident occurred 15 days ago, it came to light on Wednesday after a video of the officer being hit with chappal has surfaced online. It is learned that the officer Srinivas sought sexual favours from the outsourcing woman employee on the promise of a government job offer.

Fed up with the harassment, the woman thrashed him with a chappal in the office. However, he later apologised her for his mistake.

Meanwhile, the district collector who learned about the incident ordered an inquiry on it.
