The Telangana government has taken all the necessary preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus and is now planning to set up a 50-bed isolation ward at Gachibowli stadium.

The Telangana government has taken all the necessary preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus and is now planning to set up a 50-bed isolation ward at Gachibowli stadium.

The government is making use of the rooms that were available at the stadium. The GHMC officials and health authorities have inspected the stadium and handed over the sanitation work to Circle 11 Serilingampally of GHMC. The works at the stadium will be completed in two days and it will be developed as a quarantine centre.

Currently, the isolation wards have been set up at all the government hospitals in the state as per the orders issued by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. So far, three positive cases were reported in the state out of which one person has been discharged from the hospital.

The government on Saturday issued an advisory to close educational institutions, shopping malls, theatres and parks.
