Hyderabad: The High Court on Monday directed the Nirmal District Collector to inspect the alleged encroachment of Government Upper Primary Urdu School and Primary Telugu School, situated at Thimmapur village of Khanapur mandal in Nirmal district, and file a report.

The High Court bench comprising of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Bollam Vijaysen Reddy heard the public interest litigation filed by Afreen Begum, who hails from Khanapur village, alleging that private persons have encroached the government land, road, Government Upper Primary Urdu Medium School and Primary Telugu Medium School building at Thimmapur village.

The petitioner's counsel, Chinnolla Naresh Reddy, further informed the court that the government authorities concerned had failed to stop the alleged encroachments in spite of representations from the petitioner. The Chief Justice directed the Nirmal district administration to take necessary action against the illegal constructions and encroachments that are being made in the said village.

Further, the High Court directed the Nirmal District Collector to inspect the alleged encroachment and in case of any encroachment made by the private respondents, necessary strict action should be taken in accordance with the law.
