Slot booking stopped, CARD system registration from tomorrow

Hyderabad:.The government has stopped the slot booking for the property registrations under the new system with immediate effect following the High Court directions which strongly objected the government for seeking the details of Aadhaar, TPIN (Telangana Property Identification Number), caste and family members as mandatory in the user manual during the registration process. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to follow the High Court orders and accordingly adopt CARD system from non-agricultural property registrations for time being.

The officials said that all the Sub Registrars have been asked to restore the CARD system and start the registration process without any interruption from December 21 onwards. Since the commencement of the new system on December 14, the total number of slots booked were 2,599 and 1,760 registrations were completed till date. The registrations in respect of the slots already booked will be taken up as per the date and time given to them.

The officials said that in order to obviate any hardship and inconvenience to the public, the CM has directed that registrations of non-agricultural properties be taken up in all Sub-Registrar offices from Monday without insisting on advance slot booking, and using CARD system.

Officials of the Registration Department said that using the CARD system is more user-friendly and the process for the registration of properties will be done in an hour online. The required approvals from the higher authorities are also being done in a day or two and the mutation and the issuance of ownership documents will also be completed in a prescribed time. Under the CARD system, people can file applications to sell or buy properties manually and also online without seeking any mandated information like Aadhaar, caste and family members details.
