Telangana: Lovers commit suicide in Jagtial

Unable to bear the separation, a couple committed suicide on Saturday after their parents opposed their relationship here at Jagtial.

Mahipal and Sirisha who are pursuing a degree were in a relationship for the last three years. When they posted the matter to their parents, they opposed their relation and Sirisha's parents engaged her with another man.

Meanwhile, the duo decided to end their lives and on Saturday Mahipal and Sirisha were found hanging from a tree. Villagers who noticed the incident informed the police who registered a case.

The bodies were sent to a hospital for post-mortem. A pall of gloom descended in the village with the death of the couple.
