Telangana to reel under heatwave as mercury to soar by 0.5°C to 1°C than normal

People of Telangana to reel under intense heatwave as temperature to soar by 0.5 degrees to one degree above normal from April to June, according to Seasonal Outlook for the temperature released by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD calculates the temperature for every five days and records the changes every year. The temperature in Telangana has been recorded two to three degrees higher than the normal over the last two days. It recorded 37.4 degrees of normal temperature in Hyderabad but it rose to 40.4 degrees on Tuesday i.e, 3 degrees above than the normal.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Musheerabad experienced the highest temperature in the city at 42 degrees followed by Bahadurpura at 41.9 degrees and Quthbullapur at 41.7 degrees.

Meanwhile, the temperature in the districts has touched to 43 degrees and it may increase to 3 to 4 degrees above normal level by April end. The districts such as Adilabad, Nalgonda, Khammam and Nizamabad may experience the temperature of up to 44 degrees.
