Thoroughfares choke as candidates take out rallies to file nominations

Nalgonda/Bhongir: Showing their strength, the MP candidates of main political parties, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Communist Party of India, have filed their nomination papers after taking out huge rallies in Nalgonda and Bhongir on the final day of nominations submission on Friday.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP candidate from Bhongir Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud along with Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy took out a huge rally from Sai Baba temple to Vinyaka Chowrasta and submitted his second set of nomination papers to Returning Officer Anita Ramachandran.

Similarly, Congress candidate Komatireddy Venkat Reddy along with his brother and Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy and former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah took out a huge rally from Gudur toll plaza to Pagidipally and submitted his second set of papers to the Returning Officer.

Similarly, BJP candidate PV Shyam Sunder also took a huge rally and filed his papers.

However, in a low affair, CPI candidate Goda Sriramulu along with party State leaders Chada Venkat Reddy, Palla Venkat Reddy and others submitted his nomination papers to the RO.

Meanwhile, the streets of Bhongir town were choked on the day dur to rallies and echoed with party slogans.

In Nalgonda, TRS MP candidate V Narasimha Reddy along with Minister Jagadish Reddy and party MLAs of the district submitted his second set of nominations papers to the RO Gaurav Uppal.

Whereas, BJP MP candidate Garlapati Jithender Kumar along with party district president Nukala Narasimha Reddy also took out a huge rally and submitted his second set of nomination papers to Uppal.

CPM MP candidate Mallu Laxmi along with party leaders submitted her nomination papers and conducted a party workers meeting in the town.

Giving shock to all, in a low key affair, on behalf of TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, party district president Shankar Naik along with other leaders has submitted Uttam's second set of nomination papers to the RO.

After filing their nominations in Nalgonda and Bhongir, speaking to media, leaders of all main parties fired salvos at their rival candidates and explained what they would do for the constituency if elected to power.

Meanwhile, police made elaborate security arrangements in Nalgonda and Bhongir on the final day of nominations submission to avoid any untoward incidents during the processions and at the time of filing of nominations.
