Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao unveiled Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga's statue at Dondapadu village of Chintalapalem mandal in the district. Ranga's 32nd Vardhanti celebrations were held on a grand note in the village by the Kapu community on Saturday.

Chintalapalem (Suryapet): Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao unveiled Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga's statue at Dondapadu village of Chintalapalem mandal in the district. Ranga's 32nd Vardhanti celebrations were held on a grand note in the village by the Kapu community on Saturday.

Speaking on this occasion, Rao said that 54 per cent of BCs need to unite to capture the power.

BC leader Ranga was brutally killed with an alleged jealousy over his increasing popularity. He said that everyone has to strive hard to realise the aspirations of Vangaveeti. TPCC president post must be allocated to BCs to restore the party glory in Telangana.

Rao said that he will not be afraid of the coward people who have been threatening him for his demand to allocate TPCC chief post for BCs. The senior Congress leader further said that he is ready to sacrifice his life for Congress party. Kapu community who occupied 27 per cent in State population of AP must be in the ruling position, he opined.

He then said that it is a great gesture to remember people's leader Vangaveeti Ranga even after 32 years of his demise.
