Tripuraram (Nalgonda): Nagarjunasagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah stated that local public representatives and officials concerned must focus on improving sanitation in villages.

On Thursday, he distributed tractors to Pedda Devula Pally, Ragdapa, Satyanarayanapuram, Anjanapally, Annaram, Appalammagudem, Babusaipeta, Bejjikal, Donka Thanda, Duggepally Kamareddygudem, Kampalapally, Konathalapally, Marrigudem, Matur and Neelaigudem gram panchayats of Tripuraram mandal of Sagar constituency during a programme held at Mandal Parishad Office in Tripuraram.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the State government was sanctioning enough funds to villages directly through special comprehensive plan to maintain cleanliness besides improving the green cover.

He advised gram panchayat staff to create awareness among the villagers about the importance of maintaining cleanliness around their residences. He advised officials and people's representatives to involve the people in every activity for the development of villages.

The MLA also urged the villagers to plant more saplings increase the green cover. He warned of stern action against those who use gram panchayat tractors for personal use.

MPP Anumula Pandamma, vice-MPP Gattu Yadagiri, MPDO Alivelu Mangamma, Tahsildar Ganesh, Sarpanch Anumula Srinivas Reddy, party local leaders, Sarpanches and MPTCs of various villages participated in the programme.
