Warangal: In a bid to beat the heat this summer, the Warangal Police Commissionerate distributed summer gear christened as 'Samraksha Kits' to the traffic police here on Wednesday. Distributing kits at the traffic training centre, Commissioner of Police V Ravinder said that it's difficult for the traffic police to work in oppressive heat conditions. He said that kits, comprising of a helmet, sunglasses, thermos water bottle, will be given to 250 traffic police working in Commissionerate limits. He expressed satisfaction over the traffic situation in the tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet.
"It's difficult to handle vehicular traffic, which is increasing by every day. The number of vehicles in the city is increased by around 50,000 every year," he said. The Commissioner said that as part of welfare, they are going to provide master health check-up for the staff above the age of 40 years in two reputed hospitals. Traffic ACP Majid, Inspectors Kishor Kumar, Narsaiah, Swamy, Sub-inspectors Sambaiah, Laxminarayana and Yadagiri were among others present.
