Treat every village as your native Chintamadaka: BJP to KCR
BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to treat every village in the State on par with his native village Chintamadaka.
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to treat every village in the State on par with his native village Chintamadaka.
Addressing the media here on Monday, the BJP leader referred to an audio clip doing rounds in the social media in which the Chief Minister is herd talking to the village sarpanch of the Chintamadaka and promising to ensure Rs 10 lakh benefit to every household in that village.
He said that the conversation reveals the kind of governance that the TRS has been giving in the State and the Chief Minister talking like a village sarpanch.
Muralidhar Rao said that his party welcomes the fortune bestowed on the villagers of Chintamadaka village. But, "KCR is the Chief Minister of all the people of the State.
So, it is his responsibility to ensure that the entire State of becomes Chintamadaka. We demand the CM to extend the benefits of Rs 10 lakh to every household in the State and we take the issue to the people in future," he added.
Also, he asked all Gram Panchayats in the State to pass a resolution and send the same to the Chief Minister asking him to treat their villages on par with Chintamadaka.
But, the TRS chief says that the benefits could be extended only to Chintamadaka then it would not be a democratic way of functioning. BJP will take up the issue in future if the KCR fails to extend benefits to all the villages in the State.
The BJP leader said that KCR will be credited with getting passed the new Municipal Act which is not enforceable as it is full of contradictions and shortcomings.
Giving powers to the District Collector to suspend an elected municipal councillor is against the 74-constitutional amendment.
Muralidhar Rao said KCR has been trying to malign BJP accusing it of a communal party. But, whichever party and its leader earlier tried the same had gone down.
