All India Congress Committee (AICC) Spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan has strongly condemned the Telangana Government for not taking action againt TRS candidate Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy for his alleged involved in forging land records to grab prime property in Banjara Hills worth Rs. 1600 crore.
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan has strongly condemned the Telangana Government for not taking action againt TRS candidate Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy for his alleged involved in forging land records to grab prime property in Banjara Hills worth Rs. 1600 crore.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Sravan alleged that Vemi Narasimha Reddy fabricated a bogus, non existing Survey No 129/68 Paiki in the Name of M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society. Based on the above fabricated Survey Number he has trespassed and encroached on to Survey Number's 129/51 and 129/52, situated at Road No 2 Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, belonging to Abdul Basit and Abdul Rub.
Disclosing further details, Sravan said cases were filed against M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society, represented by Vemi Reddy Narsimha Reddy, before the Land grabbing Court, City Civil Court. Finally, the matter reached the Supreme Court and the judgment was delivered by the Supreme Court, stating that M/s Kaushik Co-op Building Society is the owner of land comprised in Survey Number 129/68 Paiki and not Survey Number 129/51 and 129/52 which have been revised and Re Numbered as 327.
The Congress leader said that an application under the RTI Act was filed on the existence, location and extent of Survey Number 129/68 in Banjara Hills/Shaikpet Village and its revised corresponding Survey Number and the ownership details. He said a reply has been received from the government under the RTI Act stating that as per the Revenue Records of Shaikpet Village the Survey number 129/68 Paiki does not exist and hence the information sought cannot be furnished.
Sravan said despite the fact that a major scam has been committed by Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy by tampering with government records to grab 16 acres of land worth around Rs. 1600 crore, no FIR was issued or criminal cases were booked against him. He said TPCC President and Congress candidate from Nalgonda constituency has referred the matter to Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi on March 25. However, no action has been taken. He demanded that cases be booked against Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy and all others involved this massive forgery and fraud. He said all the illegal buildings constructed based on this fabricated bogus non existing Survey Number 129/68 Paiki should also be demolished.
The Congress leader also alleged that Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy has indirectly confessed of grabbing acres of prime land in Rachakonda in his election affidavit. He said the then Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan has given 72 acres of land for an orphanage in 1902. However, he said only 40 acres of prime land has been protected and the rest has been encroached upon. He pointed out that Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy, in his election affidavit, has declared ownership of 1665 sq yards in Rachakonda. Of this, he claimed that he has inherited 460 sq yards and purchased another 1250 sq yards. He said the survey number of this land was same as that of land donated by Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan for the orphanage. He challenged Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy to prove the inheritance of land as well the purchase by showing link and other documents.
Sravan said that the TRS candidate has openly misled the Election Commission and other authorities. "There are rumours that he secured TRS ticket from Nalgonda by paying Rs. 100 crore. People can imagine the fate of their lands and government properties, if such land grabbers get elected as MPs," he said.
The Congress leader said Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy was not an exception. He said except one or two candidates, all other contestants of TRS were involved in land grabbing or other criminal cases and they allegedly secured party ticket by paying hundreds of crores of rupees. He alleged that KCR has formed a 'Rs. 100 Crore Club' by giving tickets only to billionaires.
Citing examples, he said Khammam candidate Nama Nageshwara Rao was involved in a case of sexual harassment. He said TRS mouthpiece Namasthe Telangana had published a series of articles on the economic offences commitment by Nageshwara Rao. This was done by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to blackmail him to join the TRS party and within six hours he was also given the ticket.
Similarly, he said Chevella candidate Ranjit Reddy was never into public service or Telangana movement. He is an entrepreneur associated with poultry business. If he gets elected as MP, he would remain focussed on expanding his poultry business. Similar is the case of Mahabubnagar candidate Manne Srinivas Reddy who is alleged to have paid Rs. 100 crore for the TRS ticket. Likewise, he said Minister Malla Reddy never participated in the Telangana movement. He joined the TRS party after 2014 and this time he got a ticket for his son-in-law Marri Rajashekhar based on the money he accumulated from his educational institutions.
Describing Talasani Srinivas Yadav as a betrayer of Telangana movement, Sravan said KCR had given a ticket to Talsani's son Saikiran Yadav from Secunderabad. He said while hundreds of Osmania University participated in the movement, Saikiran got a ticket due to membership in 'Rs. 100 Crore Club'. Similarly, he alleged that KCR has smothered the political career of G. Vivek, who had played an active role in formation of Telangana.
Sravan ridiculed the "Sir, Car, Padaharu (16)" slogan of TRS and said that the ruling party had same strength in the last Lok Sabha but failed to achieve anything for Telangana State. The TRS MPs even failed to get what was promised in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Before making a fresh appeal for 16 seats, KCR and KTR should first apologise to people for their failure in previous term. Therefore, he appealed to the people to reject candidates with criminal and tainted background and vote for Congress candidates who have a track record of serving the people with honesty and commitment.
