TRS will call shots from Hyderabad on choosing PM: KTR

Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao has opined that who is the next Prime Minister could be decided from Hyderabad if TRS wins 16 MP seats in the State and also manages to muster the support of few other MPs. He called upon Telangana voters not to take the upcoming polls lightly as there is an opportunity for them to decide who hoists tricolour on Red Fort.

Congress functionaries from Tandur, Parigi and Zaheerabad joined TRS at a programme held at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday. Welcoming them into TRS party fold, working president K T Rama Rao said that KCR has embarked on a yagna to transform the national politics. This has given a chance for Telangana electors to actively participate in shaping up a better front at the national-level, he stressed.

" If TRS wins 16 MP seats who can stop national status for Palamur-Ranga Reddy project. Every TRS activist should take a pledge and make sure that atleast 100 members vote for the pink party. In Assembly elections, TRS was given a big victory and people should be told to rally behind the same party again in Lok Sabha polls," KTR said.

The TRS working president felt that time has come up for parties like Congress and BJP in national politics. " Congress and BJP governments have done no good for the country in last 70 years. Still many places in the country face drinking water and electricity woes," he said, predicting that alliances of Congress and BJP cannot win no more than 150-170 seats each in the upcoming elections.

KTR criticised Chevella Congress candidate Konda Visweshwar Reddy for his remarks that TRS did nothing major in last five years. "Telangana was made a poverty-ridden State by Congress in decades of its rule. Is it possible to transform the situation entirely in just five years by TRS," he asked.
