TSBIE extends last date for grant of affiliation to junior colleges

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has extended the last date for the submission of applications seeking affiliation to junior colleges without any late fee. The junior colleges can now submit the online applications until June 20.

However, applications can be submitted till June 24 and July 4 with a late fee of Rs 1,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively. And with a late fee of Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, the colleges can submit the applications till July 11 and 18 respectively, said Syed Omar Jaleel, secretary of the intermediate board.

On Apri 17, 2020, the TSBIE cancelled the affiliation of 68 junior colleges in Telangana for violating fire safety norms. The board had also warned that the colleges will be closed if the management failed to shift the college to other building that meets fire safety norms before the start of the academic year.
