Two commit suicide in Miryalaguda

Miryalguda (Nalgonda): A 40-year-old woman and her 11-year-old sone died after they consumed soft drinks laced with pesticides late on Tuesday night at their house here, according to police.

The woman's husband, who too drank the soft drink, was hospitalized and his condition is stated to be critical. However, their younger son did not consume the drink, the police said.

The trio resorted to the extreme step apparently due to some family disputes and financial problems, it is suspected. The deceased were identified as Chitrakala (45), her son Lohith (11). The woman's husband Lokesh Kumar, is battling for life in a local private hospital
