Hyderabad: Two coronavirus patients who got discharged from the hospital were re-admitted within two days after their health condition worsened. The patients were among 310 who were discharged from Gandhi Hospital on Monday. The hospital has discharged asymptomatic coronavirus patients and advised home quarantine as a part of the government's new strategy to sent the patients below 50 years to home.

Though the government's strategy was acceptable, it will only work if the patients follow strict quarantine, said a junior doctor working in the isolation ward.

The officials of Telangana health Department who are overseeing quarantine of migrant workers and positive COVID-19 patients said that they already find it difficult to follow up on those arriving from other states and following quarantine protocols. With the rise in the cases, the task of overseeing the health status of coronavirus patients have turned overburdened to Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA workers).

Since the government relaxed the lockdown, the state has been reporting a massive number of positive cases every day.

At present, four coronavirus patients have been put under home quarantine. The patient was stamped and stickers have been put on their homes to avoid anyone from contacting the patient's family. The police were also deployed to monitor the patient's health status and also to see if they are following quarantine.
