Two constables working at SR Nagar police station have tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.

Two constables working at SR Nagar police station have tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday. It is learned that the two constables were suffering from coronavirus symptoms and got tested.

After being tested positive, the duo was shifted to Prakriti hospital in Ameerpet for treatment.

On Wednesday, 20 policemen working at Banjara Hills police station were found to be infected with the deadly virus. All the policemen attached to Banjara Hills police station were undergone tests after 15 police personnel tested positive till June 13.

Meanwhile, the state continued to witness a spike in coronavirus cases on Wednesday. With 269 new cases, the total number of infections in the state touched to 5675 and with one new death, the total death toll reached 192. The 269 positive cases is considered as the single-largest one-day spike of cases in Telangana State.

On the other hand, the total number of recoveries went up to 3071 with the discharge of 151 patients on Wednesday. As on Wednesday, the number of active coronavirus cases is at 2412.
