Two women were killed in separate incidents in erstwhile Khammam on Wednesday.
Kothagudem: Two women were killed in separate incidents in erstwhile Khammam on Wednesday. In an incident at Ravikampadu village of Chandrugonda mandal in Kothagudem district, a lorry rammed a roadside house, after the driver of the vehicle lost control, killing a woman on the spot and injuring another.
The deceased was called B Manikyamma (45). In another incident at Naidupet bypass road in Khammam, a 30-year-old woman A Padma was killed on the spot after a lorry hit the two-wheeler on which she was travelling.
Meanwhile, in another incident, the passengers onboard a TSRTC bus escaped unhurt as the bus driver who tried to avoid hitting a buffalo on the road hit a roadside culvert. There were over 20 passengers in the bus belonging to Manuguru depot at the time of the accident. The bus was going to Bhadrachalam from Manuguru, added the sources.
