Ujjain temple fair will be low-key: Talasani Srinivas Yadav
Festival on July 12 will see attendance of only officials, priests and trust members
Secunderabad: Animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday held a review meeting on Ujjain Mahankali Ammavari fair to be held on July 12 with the officials of police and endowment departments and temple trustees.
He said the fair will be organised in a traditional manner. "However, the festival which used to witness lakhs of devotees is going to be a low-key affair this year because of Corona pandemic. Bonams will be offered to Deity in the temple. Only temple officials, priests and trust members will be taking part. Hope people will understand the situation. The government is making arrangements to live telecast the annual tradition 'Rangam' to be held on July 13," he added. The minister directed police officials to make security arrangements.
Endowment Commissioner Anil Kumar, RJC Rama Krishna, AC Balaji, Eos Manohar, Annapurna, temple trustees Kamesh, Mahankali, ACP Vinod, CI Srinivasulu and others were present.
