UMAC to hold women's protest meet against CAA at Shivrampally
Following the success of ‘Tiranga Rally’ on January 10 at NH-44 and ‘Ehtejaji Mushaira’ at Khilwat ground near Charminar which was organised by the United Muslim Action Committee (UMAC) led by AIMIM against CAA-NRC-NPR, the committee has decided to organise women's protest conference at Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom in Shivarampalli on Sunday.
Shivrampally: Following the success of 'Tiranga Rally' on January 10 at NH-44 and 'Ehtejaji Mushaira' at Khilwat ground near Charminar which was organised by the United Muslim Action Committee (UMAC) led by AIMIM against CAA-NRC-NPR, the committee has decided to organise women's protest conference at Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom in Shivarampalli on Sunday.
According to UMAC, After the Tiranga Rally and Ehtejaji Mushaira, now continuing with the protest against the CAA-NRC-NPR, the UMAC is organising a schedule of women protest conference from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 2. "Following the nationwide protest against the CAA, several organisations including student unions, market JAC, private school JAC, medical JAC, advocates JAC etc. are also protesting against the draconian law in support with UMAC. Hence, it has only got strengthened in the recent days," said a senior MIM leader.
AIMIM MLAs, corporators, party workers are inviting the citizens through social media apps to attend the protest in large numbers and stand united and celebrate India's democracy and defend its Constitution. According to Asaduddin Owaisi, "The protests are not by any party or one organisation. This is being done to save the soul of our country, the Constitution of India, and pay tributes to the founding fathers of our country."
He requested the women homemakers and grandmothers, doctors and lawyers, students and teachers of Hyderabad to participate in large numbers. "It's our country. It's our children's country and nobody can take that away from us," he added.
