Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector called for the cooperation of the people to make the 15-day action plan programme a grand success. "Unless and until the youth and the senior citizens from the wards, colonies and urban areas come out, it will not be easy for the officials to make the urban action plan a success. I am hopeful that people will take part in large numbers and help the special officers, ward representatives and the municipal authorities and transform their wards, colonies and residential areas into clean and neat surroundings," said the Collector.

He recalled that the 30-day action plan in villages was a grand success and on similar lines, the district administration has charted out an action plan and has divided the municipalities into various divisions and appointed one special offer to each division and gave them the responsibility to transform their divisions, wards into clean and green surroundings.

With five days already passed, the district administration has expedited the implementation of the plan and the special officers were given targets to clear all the bushes in the open areas, clear the abandoned and unused constructions, clear the garbage etc. The municipal authorities with the help of locals will identify the overflowing and damaged drainages and will carry out the repairs and ensure that in the next 10 days, the entire district and its municipalities get a complete make over.

The Alampur MLA said that the Telangana government has launched the rural and urban action plan programmes to see a complete face change in villages and towns and to ensure a new transformed Sate of Telangana with regard to cleanliness and greenery.
