Addressing the media in Nalgonda on Wednesday, Uttam pointing out at TRS candidate Vemireddy Narsimha Reddy, he questioned how a person who doesn't know the boundaries of Nalgonda MP territorial would raise the problems of the region on the floor of the Lok Sabha? Stating that no one has right to demand his resignation from the MLA post, the TPCC chief assured that he would use his 25 years political experience to fight for people's issues in the Parliament.

He promised to reduce toll tax on Hyderabad- Vijayawada, Narketpally- Addanki highways, seek railway line from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, update Miryalaguda- Jaggaiahpet goods rail as passenger rail, transform Nalgonda, Miryalaguda and Suryapet as Information Technology hub, establish ESI hospitals at Huzurnagar and Kodad, pay special attention to providing drinking water and also irrigation facility in Nalgonda MP territorial areas in the interest of farmers.

Leaders of Telangana Jana Samithi and Telugu Desam Party extended their support to Uttam Kumar Reddy and appealed their party workers and supporters to vote for Congress candidates in the upcoming Parliament elections. Later, along with former Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Uttam participated in Nalgonda constituency-level party workers meeting held in the town. Both the leaders called upon party workers to strive to help the party candidates win the polls.
