Vemireddy fires salvos against Uttam
Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency Vemireddy Narsimha Reddy challenged his rival Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to prove allegations levelled against him during AICC chief Rahul Gandhi’s meeting in Huzurnagar
Chilkur (Suryapet): Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency Vemireddy Narsimha Reddy challenged his rival Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to prove allegations levelled against him during AICC chief Rahul Gandhi's meeting in Huzurnagar.
Along with Minister Jagdish Reddy and MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Narsimha Reddy carried out poll campaign at Chilkur of Kodad Assembly constituency in the district on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, Narsimha Reddy alleged that Uttam sold MLA tickets during the recent Assembly elections. He expressed his angst over Uttam calling him a land grabber and further advised him to maintain decorum to keep the value of TPCC post.
He felt that Uttam's ire during his poll campaign reflects his acknowledgement of defeat well in advance.
Mocking that Uttam was struggling for his political existence, Narsimha Reddy questioned Uttam to explain the details of burnt currency notes in his vehicle during 2014 elections.
Terming Congress the party of scams, he raised questions against Uttam over corruption charges in Indiramma housing scheme when he was the Minister for Housing in Kiran Kumar Reddy's government .
He said that he entered the politics with the blessings of Chief Minster K Chandrashekar Rao only to serve the people with commitment.
Minister Jagdish Reddy, in his speech, explained the State government's welfare activities and the need to support TRS in the upcoming Parliament elections in the interest of the State. Former Kodad MLA Venepally Chander Rao, Municipal chairperson Ontipulli Anitha and party's local leaders took part in the campaign.
