As per the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the TRS is extending its support to Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud, who is contesting in the MLC polls from Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak and Nizamabad Graduate constituency, informed MLA Gangula Kamalakar.
Karimnagar: As per the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the TRS is extending its support to Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud, who is contesting in the MLC polls from Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak and Nizamabad Graduate constituency, informed MLA Gangula Kamalakar.
Speaking at a press meet here on Tuesday, the MLA said in the past the graduate voters had elected TRS candidate Swamy Goud with a bumper majority from Karimnagar Graduate constituency. And in the recently held Assembly and sarpanch elections also people elected TRS candidates only.
With the same spirit, the graduate voters must elect Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud in the MLC elections, whom the TRS is strongly supporting. He appealed the party cadre and people's representatives to collect details of graduate voters present in their areas and explain them about the need to elect Chandrashekar Goud for carrying out various developmental activities.
M Chandrashekar Goud informed that he resigned his job as Deputy Transport Commissioner and with the blessings of Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao he is contesting in MLC polls from Karimnagar Graduate constituency. "Several people's organisations including TRSV extended their support to me and striving hard by conducting special election campaign in their regions," he added.
MLC elections are meant for several intellectuals, who cannot directly contest in Assembly elections but not for those, who were already defeated in political arena. Some of them are contesting the elections for political survival. When they are in united Andhra Pradesh, they did not raise voice about people's issues but now making hollow promises that they would become voice of unemployed youth and are trying to cheat the voters, he alleged.
Goud said that he would act like a bridge between the State government and unemployed youth and graduates and would try to solve all their issues if was elected. "I may not reach all the graduate voters, but I appeal all of them to think wisely before they cast their vote." he added.
MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, TRSMA State general secretary Yadagiri Shekar Rao and corporators Sunil Rao and Shankar were present in the press meet along with others.
