VROs, VRAs protest against merger of revenue system in Kamareddy

Kamareddy: Following the State committee call, Telangana VRO and VRA Joint Action Committee mandal unit leaders on Wednesday staged dharnas in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.
Telangana VRO and VRA Joint Action Committee mandal president Chandrasekhar called upon the VRAs and VROs to protect the revenue department with united struggle, during a dharna at Yellareddy mandal headquarters.
He said the former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had tried unsuccessfully to abolish the revenue department and ridiculed that Chandrababu's anti-teacher policies were lost in the past in the direction of the World Bank.
He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is blaming VRAs and VROs of corruption with an intent to abolish the current revenue system and to merge it with panchayat raj and agriculture department.
The leader announced that they will intensify their movement if the Chief Minister takes back his decision of merging agriculture, panchayat raj and revenue departments.
Telangana VRO and VRA Joint Action Committee mandal unit leaders participated in the dharna.
