Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy gave away the insurance sanction letter for Rs 2 lakh to the widow of a TRS activist who died recently, on Tuesday.

Speaking at a programme in Wanaparthy, the Minister said that the TRS party was committed to protect its party activists and as part of it, it has introduced insurance scheme for the welfare of activists and securing the family members of activists by paying the insurance premium.

"TRS party is only among one or two parties in the country which is paying life insurance premium for the welfare of its activists. It is our responsibility to protect every TRS activist who had toiled hard for bringing back TRS to power for second time in Telangana," said the Minister.

The Minister, later, took part in the distribution of Letter of Consent to the ailing patients. The Minister visited the houses of patients and gave away the LoCs towards their healthcare expenses. The Minister said it was only the TRS government which was liberally giving financial aid to ailing patients in their emergency under Chief Minister's Relief Fund. "Our government is committed for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden and always giving highest priority to the healthcare of the people," said the Minister, while handing over an LoC to a woman patient in Wanaparthy.
