Warangal: Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Chairman Marri Yadava Reddy was on a study tour to Bengaluru to get knowledge of the practices adopted by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).

He along with Satavahana, Siddipet and Nizamabad urban development authorities' chairmen GV Ramakrishna Rao, Mareddy Ravindar Reddy and Chamakura Prabhakar Reddy visited Vishweshwaraiah Layout, Kempegowda Layout and the sewerage treatment plant (STP) under construction. The BDA officials explained about the system they follow for the land pooling, layouts, apartments etc.

It may be mentioned here that the four chairmen had undertaken the study tour after they were advised by MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao. The chairmen would also go to Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). Speaking to The Hans India over phone, Marri Yadava Reddy said that they have noticed some good practices implemented by the BDA. It would help us to improve the system in Warangal, he said.
