Warangal: The national-level two-day student technical symposium known as 'Sumshodhini'20' got underway in the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Warangal, (KITSW) here on Friday. The symposium is being organised jointly by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), KITSW Student Chapter & Technical Club and the KITSW Student Activity Centre (SAC)

Inaugurating the fest, Mulugu District Collector S Krishna Aditya told the students to focus on academics right from the start of B Tech instead of hurrying in the later stages. Success comes from perseverance and hard work, he said. The guest of honour, Yalavati Projects Private Limited, Hyderabad, Naveen Kumar Bandaru stated that the event is a good platform to create leaders. He told the students to become job givers not the job seekers.

Rajya Sabha Member Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, who is also the Secretary & Correspondent of the KITSW, told the students to update continuously on par with the technology. The ultimate goal of the students is to serve the community, he said.

Stating that the theme of the Sumshodhini'20 is 'VIRTUALIS', a fest like never before', Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy hoped that the symposium will bring a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Student Affairs Dean Prof G Raghotham Reddy said that 1,278 students registered for Day-1 workshops and 1,228 participants for Day-2 events.

Co-convener & Associate Dean M Narasimha Rao, Chairman and Program Coordinator, Dr S Sunil Pratap Reddy, Co-coordinator Dr T Senthil Murugan, Gunda Sriram; K Akhil Raja and Associate Professor & PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary were among others present.
