Marupaka Manasa, who did her Intermediate (M PC) from TSWRS Junior College in Nirmal, has become an example that poverty is not a hindrance to success by getting a seat in the four-year integrated programme of teacher education titled ‘Bachelor of Science Education’ (B Sc., B Ed) in the prestigious Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru, (formerly known as Regional College of Education), established by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Manasa, who hails from Dandepally village under Elkathurthy, had a setback in 2013 when her father Devaiah died. Despite her poor backdrop, she pursued her academics.
Her poor family backdrop and untimely death of her father Devaiah in 2013 didn't come in the way of her academics. In fact, the adversity made Manasa to strive hard to excel in the studies. She was among 600 students of TSWRS junior colleges, who were selected and specially coached for the Regional Institutes of Education Common Entrance Exam (RIE CEE 2019). Manasa whose total score is 66 got admission into B Sc., B Ed. Integrated course in the RIE, Mysuru.
The SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union Vice-President Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj, AIUEC Vice-President Dr Pulla Srinivas, Pulla Kumar, Bandi Srinivs and Bandi Kumaraswamy who felicitated Marupaka Manasa for her achievement assured her of extending their support during her academic progression.
