Hyderabad: Large number of students along with government officials has participated in the Digital Digithon Yatra organized by Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) on Monday at Jogulamba Gadwal district headquarters. The two days training program was appreciated by the district Collector Sri Shashank who wished that such programs be conducted in future as well.

TITA leadership teams have conducted competitions among their teams and presented awards to the winners. The Yatra was flagged off by the IT secretary Mr. Jayesh Ranjan in Hyderabad two days ago and it Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy launched it in the district.

The Digital Digithon Yatra was organized to impart technical and necessary IT education to the government school students. Similar Yatra was organized in Wanaparti district in February this year. Students were given training on different basic IT skills.

About 150 techies participated in the program organized for Gadwal district where they stayed with government school kids and educated them on digital literacy.

District Education Officer Sushindra Kumar has welcomed the rally on the first day in Gadwal town. About 12329 students of 124 government schools will get 16-hour training during the program. They will learn basic computer, Internet usage, E-mail, Cashless transactions, Google Maps, searching and other topics.

The IT professionals stayed with the students and discussed various other life skills with them including entrepreneurship. Almost 150 techies participated in the training program.

TITA global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that this program was designed to aware the government school kids about new opportunities of employment. He said that TITA took up this program with the help of district administration.

The training team stayed back at government residential schools during the program. He further said that TITA started Technology Innovation and Incubation club in each government school in near future.
