With only 18 days left for LS polls, parties busy in campaigning

After a hectic exercise, all the major parties the ruling TRS, BJP and Congress had announced their candidates for Adilabad Lok Sabha elections. Unlike last time during Assembly elections, the parties declared their candidates without waiting till the last minute. TRS and BJP have allotted their party seats to Adivasi (ST) while the Opposition Congress has allotted seat to Lambada (ST).

Adilabad: After a hectic exercise, all the major parties the ruling TRS, BJP and Congress had announced their candidates for Adilabad Lok Sabha elections. Unlike last time during Assembly elections, the parties declared their candidates without waiting till the last minute. TRS and BJP have allotted their party seats to Adivasi (ST) while the Opposition Congress has allotted seat to Lambada (ST).

After a little delay in selecting the candidates, the ruling TRS allotted ticket to the sitting MP Godam Nagesh and BJP allotted to Adivasis leader Soyam Bapu Rao to get a hold on the vote bank of Adivasis in the LS constituency.

Congress allotted its ticket to former MP Rathod Ramesh in the last week. Rathod is going ahead targeting TRS and BJP parties. Congress and BJP have initiated attempts to put the TRS in trouble, which is trying to strengthen its fold with Operation Akarsh.

Sitting MP Godam Nagesh seems to be confident that the development and welfare schemes which he took up will make him win again. Soyam Bapu Rao is confident that Adivasi movement and Prime Minister Narendra Modi image will get him victory in the elections and trying to break the speed of car (TRS).

This time Adivasis Movement is the main agenda of the Opposition parties. Once the nomination process concludes, district politics will become more interesting.

On the other hand, after all the parties declared their winning horses, aspirants, didn't get ticket this time, were disappointed. Kova Lakshmi and Syham Naik of the ruling party had tried their best to get Lok Sabha ticket but Godam Nagesh got the ticket.

In Congress, Dr Naresh Jadhav and Soyam Bapu Rao both resigned to the party after ticket allotment. Bapu Rao, who shifted loyalty to BJP, got the party ticket, giving shock to its leaders Satla Ashok, Madavi Raju and a veteran doctor, who have been in the BJP since beginning. Bapu Rao filed his nomination on BJP ticket on Friday.

Now the candidates of Congress and BJP had filed nomination papers and concentrating on campaigning. Their plan is to bring their party big leaders to the campaigning after the nomination process concludes.

With only 19 days left for the Lok Sabha polls, the main political parties are planning to hold public meetings in Adilabad, Nirmal, Asifabad, Khanapur and Mudhole Assembly constituencies, which comes under Adilabad LS constituency. TRS, Congress and BJP have taken Lok Sabha polls prestigious making them more nteresting.
