Congress candidate from Bhongir Lok Sabha seat Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that Congress would provide Rs 6,000 per month to 25 crore poor individuals in the country under Nyuntam Aay Yojana (minimum income) if voted to power.
Yadadri-Bhongir: Congress candidate from Bhongir Lok Sabha seat Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that Congress would provide Rs 6,000 per month to 25 crore poor individuals in the country under Nyuntam Aay Yojana (minimum income) if voted to power.
He expressed his concern over opposition parties baseless comments against the proposed scheme. On Friday, along with former Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Laxmaiah, he spoke to the media in Bhongir town.
Addressing the scribes, Komatireddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was under shock with recent MLC results.
Hitting out at BJP, he said, "Prices of essential commodities sky-rocketed during the Modi's five-year rule. Ignoring the future of the country, Modi has spent half of his time touring foreign countries in the name of bilateral relations."
Recalling that NIMS in Bhongir was started in 2004 under Congress regime, Komatireddy added that former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy did not release funds to NIMS due to regional feeling. "NIMS would have been developed in all aspects had the TRS government paid special attention to it in the last five years," he said.
The Congress candidate also expressed his concern over not having an RTC bus depot in Bhongir and assured to halt all rails at Bhongir station by bringing the matter to the notice of railway authorities and the ministry concerned.
He stated that only three towns - Siddipet, Sircilla and Gajwel - were developed in the State in the last five years. He questioned KCR over neglecting the rest of the regions in the State. Stating that KCR has put Telangana agitators aside in this election, he alleged that the ruling party was trying to win all MP seats with muscle and money power.
He urged people of Bhongir MP territorial to bless him in the elections with record majority and promised that he would work hard for the development of constituency with equal responsibility. On the occasion, Komatireddy also fired salvos at former DCC Budida Bixamaiah over his baseless comments against him and his brother Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, and called Bixamaiah a land grabber and an opportunist.
Former PCC chief Ponnala Laxmaiah described Parliament elections as a war between Congress and BJP and added that role rest of parties was only spectatorship.
He listed out the failures and pending promises of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged the people to back the Congress for the development of the State and the nation.
