131st birth anniversary of Sir C V Raman celebrated at A V N College

Visakhapatnam: The 131st birth anniversary of Sir C V Raman was celebrated with fervour at A V N College here on Thursday. College correspondent A V Adeep Bhanoji Row, Principal D V Prakash, among others offered floral tributes to the statue of Nobel Laureate C V Raman.

They recalled the significant contributions of C V Raman to the field of science and research. The Principal said the institution produced several eminent personalities who excelled in various fields, including, science, sports and politics.

A large number of students gathered at the campus to pay rich tributes to Raman who discovered the evidence of the quantum nature of light, among other path-breaking discoveries.
