4 held for peddling drugs in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: The task force police took four persons into custody for their alleged involvement in the sale of drugs.
Commissioner of police R K Meena, while sharing details with the media on Thursday, said the drugs were sourced from Bengaluru and smuggled to Goa and from there they were brought into Visakhapatnam.
Four persons Bikki Narendra Babu alias Vijay, 28, from Vijayawada, Manyam Seetha alias Siri, 25, Chintalapudi Raju alias Potti Raju, 36, and Vennela Venkata Rao alias Venu Naidu, 45, from Visakhapatnam were taken into custody by the police.
Bikki Narendra Babu was previously in remand for nine months for a similar offence. MDMA, LSD, ganja and Alprazolam tablets have been seized from them and they were nabbed during the raid conducted by the police near Old Girls School, Lalitha Colony.
The CP lauded the efforts made by the team, including SI at II Town P Papa Rao and M Ravi Kumar, SI, Task Force. DCP (Zone-I) S Ranga Reddy, among others were present at the conference.
