A Good News For People Of Andhra Pradesh: Arogyasri Will Be Applicable In Other States

Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan assured the people of the state that his government would be providing the health care at 150 super-speciality hospitals in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai from November 1. With the new proposals, the health scheme will be further expanded. in this issue, an expert panel headed by retired IAS officer Sujatha Rao met with the chief minister on Wednesday and submitted 182 page report on the reforms to be made in the health department.

the government has decided to implement the new scheme in West Godavari district as a pilot project from January 1 2020 by giving treatment to 1200 patients and later on it would be extended to all the 2000 patients from other parts of the state from April 1, 2020.

Health Pension Scheme Is Extended to Other Diseases

The Chief Minister said that those who are currently undergoing dialysis with Kidney disease will be given a pension of Rs10,000 per month and a further pension of Rs. 5000 will be provided for thalassemia, leprosy, polio, teachings, congenital HV and paralysis victims. Chief Minister instructed officials to prepare a list of patients and should start the scheme as soon as possible.

CM Assures Govt Doctors in Providing Solid Wages

The expert committee told the CM that the policy of government doctors should not do any private practice has to be enforced seriously, which most of the states are following. The Cm gave a nod to the expert committee to enforce the law yet he assured the govt doctors their demand of increase in salaries will be seen positively. Officials also clarified that the increase in the salaries will curb the private practice and made recommendations on immediate recruitment of vacant physician posts.

3 New Medical Colleges Got the Approval

The state government has already agreed to new medical colleges in the state in Paderu, Gurajala and Vijayanagar. In addition, CM gave green but Andhra Pradesh has no allotments in them. So, the Jagan Mohan reddy asked to prepare a DPR,to put a request to the Government of India getting the share in allotted medical colleges.

Assured New Health University

There is currently only NTR Health University in the state. The university has 11 government medical colleges and 18 private medical colleges. The Chief Minister has decided to establish a new health university as the centre of SVIMs hospital. The medical colleges in Rayalaseema, Nellore and Prakasam districts would be affiliated to SVIMs University and the rest of the medical colleges in the district are under the purview of NTR Health University.
