Act tough against schools violating timings: SFI
Eluru: Leaders of Students Federation of India (SFI) have urged the district education department officials to take stern action against educational institutions violating timings building mental pressure on students.
SFI district secretary K Anil along with other leaders submitted a memorandum to District Education Officer C V Renuka at her office here on Thursday alleging that some private educational institutions have been organising classes from 8 am to 7 pm instead of 9 am to 5 pm.
As a result, the students have been reaching their homes late in the night. They had to wake up early again to attend the institutions. On account of the hectic schedule, they are being subjected to mental pressure, they alleged.
The leaders requested the DEO to take action against the erring institutes. Responding to their request, the DEO assured to survey the schools and take action on such institutions.
