Advocates hail government for allocating 100 crore welfare

Srikakulam: Advocates of Srikakulam District Courts Bar Association lauded State government's concern over their welfare. The association conducted general body meeting at District Court complex Bar Association hall on Tuesday and passed a resolution unanimously to say thanks to the state government for allotment of Rs 100 crore for the welfare of advocates and financial aid to junior advocates who have less than three years practice.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion Bar Association president, Sistu Ramesh appreciated the state government's concern for advocates and stated that the move initiated by the government is an encouragement to advocates.

State Bar Council member, Gedela Vasudeva Rao explained that with this encouragement, they can achieve other demands for welfare of advocates. General secretary, G Srikrishna Prasad, vice- president A Krishna Raju, joint secretary Y Prasannakumar, senior advocates T Radha Krishna, T Mohan Rao, K Nagabhushan Rao and J Tirupati Rao were present.
