Advocates JAC seeks HC bench in Vizag

Srikakulam: Representatives of advocates associations of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam conducted a meeting at District Court Bar Association Hall in Srikakulam on Saturday demanding the government to establish a High Court bench in Visakhapatnam.

On the occasion, the advocates formed a joint action committee (JAC) to chalk out action plan to achieve their demand. The meeting was arranged by Srikakulam District Bar Association president Sistu Ramesh and general secretary Geddapu Srikrishna Prasad and association members.

On the occasion, Visakhapatnam Bar Association president G M Reddy was elected as JAC Chairman and Srikakulam District Bar Association president Sistu Ramesh as co-chairman. Speaking on the occasion, they said Visakhapatnam was suitable for establishment of High Court bench as it has all infrastructure facilities.

State Bar Council members Gedela Vasudeva Rao, P Narasinga Rao and S Krishna Mohan also assured to intensify their fight for achieving High Court bench in Visakhapatnam. Srikakulam District Bar Association vice-president G Radha Rani and joint secretary Y Prasanna Kumar were present.
