AITS to redesign curriculum for students in Tirupati

A meeting underway at AITS in Tirupati on Saturday to design new syllabus for students

Tirupati: Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences (AITS) here granted autonomous status for 10 years from the academic year 2019-20 by University Grants Commission (UGC) and JNTUA, Anantapur.

AITS Academic Council met recently and formed different Boards of studies to design new curriculum for engineering, PG and for MBA students. 50 members of Boards of studies from the IIT Tirupati and IISER Tirupati.

Professors from Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) and SPMVV and a few from industry along with 50 members from the hosting Institution met throughout the day. They participated in the meetings held in both the sessions on Saturday and have had extensive discussions and devised engineering curriculum which can benefit the student community at large, AITS Principal said.

AITS Honorary Secretary and Correspondent C Gangi Reddy also addressed the meeting and expressed his devotion to the development of the Institution. He has opined that the curriculum and the syllabus emerged through the meetings on Saturday will have better outcome as the senior faculty from the reputed institutions also advised and incorporated their thoughts in the curriculum.
