All set for SSC exams today
Eluru: The district administration has made all arrangements for peaceful conduct of SSC examinations commencing from Monday.
Addressing the media, District Education Officer CV Renuka said that as many as 54,243 students have been appearing for the examinations held between 9:30 am and 12:15 pm.
A total of 27,374 boys and 26,869 girls will be attending for the examinations.
256 examination centres have been arranged in the district. A total 3,035 invigilators have been appointed for the conduct of the examinations.
While 48 sitting squads, 126 route officers, 14 flying squads, 256 chief superintendents, 256 department officers would monitor the conduct of the examinations, she said.
The DEO said that CC cameras have been installed at 20 exam centres. The students can travel free in APSRTC buses by producing their hall-tickets during the examinations.
They can avail the facility to attend exam centre and return home irrespective of distance.
As MLC election will be held on March 22, the scheduled English Paper I exam has been postponed for April 3, she added.
