Amaravati: Women's JAC complaints AP governor over false cases

The women's JAC of Amaravati Conservation Committee on Tuesday have met the Andhra Pradesh governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and complained about illegal cases filed against the women and farmers who are protesting peacefully in demand to retain the secretariat at Amaravati. They alleged that YSRCP government of resorting to filing atrocity cases on the women.

The women accused Nandigam Suresh of making false allegations against them. The women JAC have submitted the photos of the police attacks on them to the governor. As many as 2,800 cases were filed in the entire capital villages on various people," Women JAC asserted.

While on the other hand, the Amaravati farmers JAC has met with National Human Rights Commission and complained about the atrocities on the farmers and women, The NHRC have reportedly taken the complaint and assured justice be served to farmers.

As the Amaravati farmers protests continue for 77th day, Chintamaneni Prabhakar, former MLA of Denduluru on Tuesday called on Chalo Amaravati program with 200 farmers. However, the police denied permission for it.
