Andhra Pradesh allocated 4.49 cr for CHUDA: Obulesh

Chittoor: The vice-chairman of CHUDA (Chittoor Urban Development Authority) C Obulesh has assumed the charge at CHUDA office here on Wednesday. CHUDA Chairman N Purushottam Reddy and others have greeted the first CHUDA vice-chairman at his office.

Speaking to The Hans India on Wednesday, Obulesh said that the government has sanctioned Rs 4.49 cr for the overall development of Chittoor and other four Assembly constituencies Puthalapattu, G D Nellore, Piler and Punganur.

"There are 22 mandals and 424 villages in the purview of five Assembly constituencies. The CHUDA would initiate developmental programmes like laying of roads, fixing the value of the layouts, beautification of parks and others," he added.

He said that CHUDA has received Rs 3.17 crore already from the government and works relating to development would be undertaken by the Engineering Department.

Impetus would be given for developing the roads in Chittoor city, he added.
