Andhra Pradesh: BTech Ravi remanded for 14 days in 2018's Pulivendula riots case

TDP MLC BTech Ravi, who was arrested in the Pulivendula riots case in 2018, was produced before the Pulivendula Magistrate by the police on Monday. The court sentenced BTech Ravi for 14 days remand. He was shifted to Kadapa Central Jail.

Meanwhile, a warrant is pending against BTech Ravi, who is the main accused in the riots and clashes at Pulivendula Pula Angadi in 2018. Since the BTech Ravi is on the run to escape arrest and bail in the stoning and attempted murder case where a Sub Inspector Chiranjeevi was injured in a previous stone attack.

The incident led to the challenges and counter-challenges by the TDP and YSRCP leaders over Pulivendula constituency development. The followers of TDP and YSRCP gathered at the spot on January 4, 2018.

However, cases have been registered against BTech Ravi and 63 others under the attempted murder charge. He was arrested at the Chennai airport on Sunday.
