AP Cabinet meeting approves key bills

Amaravati: The AP Cabinet meeting has approved the bill which allows the tenant farmers to make the cultivation agreement without any damage to the landowners.

The Cabinet has given the green signal to the draft bill which aimed to provide rights to the owners on a permanent basis, and no one can tamper the land records in the future.

The Cabinet also approves the bill aimed to bring changes to the Land Title Registration System to reduce land disputes.

The government is making its first move towards the alcohol ban and initiated the process. From now, the government will operate the liquor shops. For which, the Cabinet has approved the draft bill.

The Cabinet has decided to provide the electricity to Aqua farmers Rs 1.50 per unit and approved for the appointment of special officers in outdated local bodies.

The Cabinet has also decided to give 149 acres land to Electronics manufacturing cluster at AIIC Vikruthamala village under Yerpedu Mandal in Chittoor district.

The meeting approved the decision to hike the salaries of Anganwadi Workers to Rs 11,500, Mini Anganwadi Workers Rs 7,000 and Anganwadi Helper Rs 7,000. The increased pay will be applicable from July.

The Cabinet has approved the Village Secretaries and Grama volunteers system which is expected to bring a revolutionary change in the administration process. The cabinet mainly considered to bring the government systems closer to every village.

The Cabinet has given approval for the appointment of Grama volunteers for every 50 houses in the village. The volunteers are paid Rs 5,000 per month from the government.

The Cabinet has given the green signal to a draft bill aimed to bring changes in the laws in the Endowments Department.

The main Opposition TDP has raised objections over delay in Assembly session due to the Cabinet meeting. This led to the uproar in the House for some time. Former CM Chandrababu said it is their responsibility to see that the government act properly.
