AP cabinet to meet on June 5 while CM YS Jagan to meet Amit Shah today

The state cabinet is scheduled to meet on the 5th of this month chaired by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is expected to discuss government schemes and coronavirus control measures. In fact, the AP government intends to hold ministerial meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. However, it was postponed amid outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

The cabinet to discuss on key issues, including the ordinance brought to appoint Justice Kanagaraj as state election officer. The government has decided to hold ministerial meetings as it has ordered the employees to attend the duties.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be leaving for New Delhi today for one day visit to meet Union home minister Amit Shah to take up several pending issues. It is learnt that he would be meeting other Cabinet Ministers.

As the government is facing backlash from the high court in various issues especially on the SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar's issue, the meeting has got prominence in this backdrop. The chief minister would also take up the scrapping of the Legislative Council issue with home minister. It is reported that the Chief Minister would likely to discuss on irrigation projects and the LG Polymers tragedy.
