AP CM for holistic development of Prakasam district

Ongole: Minister for energy, forests, environment, science and technology Balineni Srinivasa Reddy lamented that Prakasam district had not developed as it was expected to be in the last 50 years and said Chief Minister was very much committed to the complete development of the district and was making special arrangements for it.

The minister along with the education minister Audimulapu Suresh, Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, collector Dr Pola Bhaskar and other officials and MLAs in the district participated in the golden jubilee year celebrations here on Sunday and extended district formation day wished to the public.

After paying rich tributes to Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu by garlanding his statue and hoisting the district flag at the collectorate, Srinivasa Reddy remembered that Konda Narapareddy had made tremendous efforts for the formation of the district.

He assured that the first tunnel of the Pula Subbaiah Veligonda Project would be completed soon to provide water to the people.

Audimulapu Suresh said the government was making efforts to construct Ramayapatnam port, Donakonda Industrial Corridor, new buildings for the Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam University, conduct of IIIT classes in Ongole.
