AP govt cancels' registrations of 76 buses belonging to JC Diwakar Reddy
The YSRCP government has given another rude shock to the family of former minister and TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy of Anantapur district. Officials cancelled the registration of 76 vehicles belonging to JC Travels. Authorities have identified the BS-3 vehicles registered as BS-4 with forged documents. Officials said they have received fake insurance certificates for 154 vehicles.
Transport authorities have seized 60 vehicles and the remaining 94 vehicles are alleged to have been kept in anonymity by JC Brothers. Officials have identified four lorries turned into buses and passed a resolution that insurance is no longer applicable to those travelling on Diwakar Travel buses.
Shiva Ramprasad, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Anantapur, said, "JC Travels made a lot of mistakes and cheated the lives of passengers; buses and lorries purchased were against the Supreme Court order." He said they would give notices to family members on the matter. Shiva Ramprasad said the report would been submitted to the top authorities over JC Diwakar Reddy's forgery.
