He hails from Narsipatnam constituency of Visakhapatnam district who served as the Municipal Chairman of Narsipatnam. Speaking on the occasion, Sanyasi Patrudu said he would strive hard to strengthen the party in the district. He said he joined the party impressed by the welfare schemes being implemented by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Sanyasi Patrudu said that the YSR Congress party was giving 50 % reservations to SC, ST, BC and minorities in nominated posts.

Party General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member, V Vijay Sai Reddy said that the Chief Minister was doing justice to the people with the implementation of welfare schemes as part of Navaratnalu programme and Jagan Mohan Reddy was leading the state in the path of progress.

With reference to Jena Sena leader Pawan Kalyan's long march, he described it as a wrong march. He said while everybody thought Pawan Kalyan would march, he made his followers march and travelled on the top of a car.

Vijay Sai Reddy said that Pawan Kalyan was the adopted-son of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who was acting under the latter's direction and gave away life-time call sheets to Naidu. He said people lost faith in Pawan Kalyan.
