Build new operation theatres by Aug 7: GGH Panel

Guntur: Guntur General Hospital Development Committee on Friday decided to complete the construction of new operation theatres before August 7. The meeting also decided to demolish the old operation theatre building and to take up construction of new one in the same place. The meeting also passed a resolution to purchase 500 KV capacity generator and decided to set up an electric transformer.

Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar and officials decided to negotiate with the CLR on the allotment of six acres of land at Bongaralaveedu to GGH for the construction of second hospital. Responding to the request of GGH, the government decided to allot six acres of land at Bongarabeedu in Guntur city.

The meeting decided to request the Director of Medical Education to release funds for the maintenance of GGH buildings and electrical works. The officials decided to pay salaries to the outsourcing security staff at the earliest.

Collector and GGH Development Committee Chairman I Samuel Anand Kumar felt that there was need to render better medical services to patients and urged the doctors work with dedication and commitment. MLA Mustafa and GGH Superintendent Dr Raju Naidu were among those participated.
