Building for school for deaf demanded in Kakinada
Kakinada: Students Federation of India (SFI) city secretary M Ganga Suri Babu demanded that the State government construct a permanent building to house the school for the deaf. He along with other members, surveyed the school for the deaf at Sambamurthy Nagar Kakinada on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that 86 deaf students were studying from Class I to X at the school. For the past three years, the deaf students have been struggling with the poor accommodation facilities here. The government had failed to provide any facilities for deaf students, he lamented.
They are facing plenty of problems in the school. He demanded that the government immediately build the school building to put an end to the woes of the children. Otherwise, it would be very difficult for the handicapped students to learn anything, he added.
